Which Naver Blog image size should you choose?

Naver does not state one universal pixel size for every ordinary blog photo. Its editor lets authors choose a display mode or enter a numeric size. The presets here are practical starting points that keep the distinction between an official rule and a design recommendation clear.

What Naver officially says

Naver's SmartEditor ONE help lists JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP and WebP for photo upload. It also says images are automatically optimized, which can reduce quality. A separate editor guide shows small, document width, edge to edge and numeric image sizing controls.

Naver Help pages can show different file limits for different upload or attachment workflows. Check the message inside the editor you currently use instead of relying on one number for every Naver feature.

How to protect image quality

  • Use the original camera or design file when possible. A larger canvas cannot recreate detail missing from a small source.
  • Export photographs as JPEG and text heavy designs as PNG. PNG can be much larger for photographic content.
  • Avoid saving the same JPEG many times. Every lossy re-export can introduce more artifacts.
  • Keep essential text away from the edge so later display changes do not make the design feel cramped.
  • Use simple English letters or numbers in filenames when possible, following Naver's upload guidance.

A private editor built for clear framing

Full editing workspace

On desktop, the uploaded image and settings share a focused full-screen workspace. On mobile, the layout returns to normal page flow so the preview does not take over the screen.

Direct image positioning

Open Adjust framing, then drag the preview or use the position controls. Zoom creates room to reposition a source that already matches the output ratio.

No stretching

The tool preserves the source proportions and crops to fill the chosen canvas. It does not distort faces, products or lettering.

Browser based processing

Your image is decoded and resized on your device. The tool does not connect to your Naver account or publish a post for you.

Frequently asked questions

What is the official Naver Blog image size?+

Naver's current Blog help pages do not give one required pixel size for ordinary post images. SmartEditor ONE offers display choices such as small, document width, edge to edge and a numeric size. The sizes in this tool are practical working presets.

Should I use 1080px or 1280px width?+

Use 1080px for a balanced general purpose blog image. Use 1280px when you want a wider landscape canvas or have a high quality source. Both are recommendations, so check the result in your actual blog layout.

Does Naver compress uploaded photos?+

Naver says uploaded photos are automatically optimized and image quality can decrease. Start with a clear source and avoid repeatedly downloading, editing and uploading the same JPEG.

Which file formats does Naver Blog accept?+

Naver's SmartEditor ONE photo help lists JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP and WebP. This tool accepts common browser image formats and exports the selected preset as JPEG or PNG.

Why are Naver file size limits different across help pages?+

Naver has different upload and attachment workflows, and its help pages list different limits for them. Check the current rule shown in the editor you are using. This resizer does not claim one universal Naver upload cap.

Should I choose JPEG or PNG?+

JPEG is usually the better choice for photographs because it creates smaller files. PNG is useful for screenshots, diagrams, lettering and flat color artwork where crisp edges matter.

Will an animated GIF stay animated?+

No. This tool prepares still images and does not preserve GIF animation. Upload the original GIF directly when animation is required and it meets Naver's current rules.

Are my photos uploaded to IMG Tweak?+

No. Decoding, resizing and export run in your browser. Your original image stays on your device.
