ImgTweak ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information when you use our image tools at imgtweak.com.

By using ImgTweak, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

How Image Processing Works

Every tool on ImgTweak processes files entirely on your device using the following browser technologies:

• WebAssembly modules (MozJPEG, OxiPNG, libwebp, libavif, libjxl) for compression and format conversion
• Web Workers for CPU-intensive tasks such as SVG tracing, keeping your browser responsive during processing. Web Workers run in a separate thread on your device and have no network access
• imagetracerjs (public domain) for raster-to-SVG vectorization on the PNG/JPG/WebP to SVG tools
• pdf-lib and pdfjs-dist for PDF creation and page extraction
• heic-to for HEIC decoding and utif2 for TIFF decoding
• icojs for ICO file handling and favicon generation

None of these libraries make network requests with your image data. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and all tools continue to work, which demonstrates that no files are being sent anywhere.

Information We Collect

Images and files

We do not collect, upload, or store your images or any files you process through our tools. Files are processed in browser memory only and are discarded when you close the tab or navigate away.

Analytics data (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. This collects:

• Pages visited and tools used
• Time spent on the site
• Browser type, version, and device type
• Operating system
• Approximate location (country and city level only)
• Referral source

IP addresses are anonymized. No image content is included in analytics data.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets the following cookies:

• _ga — distinguishes unique users, expires after 2 years
• _ga_[container-id] — persists session state, expires after 2 years

Third-Party Services

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google LLC. Google processes analytics data on our behalf and may use it for its own purposes per their privacy policy. See Google Privacy Policy.

Google AdSense

This site includes a Google AdSense publisher tag. Google may use cookies and similar technologies in connection with this tag. Even if ads are not yet displayed, this tag may collect information per Google's advertising policies. You can manage your ad preferences at Google Ads Settings.

No other third parties

We do not share your data with any other third parties. We do not sell, rent, or trade any information collected from users.

How We Use Your Information

Analytics data is used solely to:

• Understand how users interact with our tools
• Identify and fix technical issues
• Improve tool performance and user experience
• Decide which features and tools to build next

Data Retention

Images: We do not store images. They exist only in your browser's memory while you use the tool and are gone when you close or navigate away.

Analytics data: Google Analytics retains user-level data for 2 months by default, after which it is automatically deleted.

Your Rights and Choices

Opt out of Google Analytics

• Block cookies in your browser settings
• Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
• Use a privacy-focused browser or extension

GDPR rights (EU users)

If you are in the EEA, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, and to object to processing. Contact us at the address below to exercise these rights. Since we hold no image data, these rights apply only to any analytics data Google may have collected under our account.

Do Not Track

There is currently no agreed standard for responding to Do Not Track browser signals. We do not currently respond to them, but you can opt out of analytics using the methods above.

Children's Privacy

ImgTweak is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have done so, please contact us immediately.

International Data Transfers

Analytics data may be transferred to and processed in the United States where Google's servers are located. Google complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework for such transfers.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting with an updated date at the top. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
