Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ImgTweak ("Service," "we," "us," or "our"), a free online image compression tool accessible at imgtweak.com.

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service.

Use of Service

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use ImgTweak for personal or commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

You may use the Service to:

• Compress, optimize,convert image, rotate, crop, and flip files
• Download processed images for personal or commercial use
• Process multiple images in batches.

Restrictions

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service excessively
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service
• Remove or modify any copyright or proprietary notices
• Use the Service to violate any applicable laws or regulations

Your Content and Privacy

Ownership of Your Images

You retain all rights, title, and interest in any images you upload to or process through ImgTweak. We do not claim any ownership over your content.

No Storage or Access

All image processing occurs locally in your browser using WebAssembly. Your images never leave your device and are never uploaded to our servers. We do not have access to, cannot view, and do not store any images you process.

Responsibility for Content

You are solely responsible for the content of any images you process through the Service. You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the necessary rights to use the images
• Your images do not violate any third-party rights (copyright, trademark, privacy, etc.)
• Your images do not contain illegal, harmful, or offensive content

Service Availability

As-Is Basis

ImgTweak is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties or guarantees about the Service's availability, reliability, or functionality.

No Guarantee of Uptime

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We may suspend, modify, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.

Technical Requirements

The Service requires a modern web browser with WebAssembly support. We are not responsible if your browser or device does not support the necessary features.

Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED
• WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT
• WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR BE ERROR-FREE
• WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE QUALITY, ACCURACY, OR RESULTS OF IMAGE COMPRESSION
• YOU ASSUME ALL RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH USING THE SERVICE, INCLUDING POTENTIAL DATA LOSS OR CORRUPTION

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IMGTWEAK AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
• ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE
• ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR COMPUTER SYSTEM OR LOSS OF DATA RESULTING FROM USING THE SERVICE
• ANY ERRORS, MISTAKES, OR INACCURACIES IN THE COMPRESSION PROCESS

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO USE THE SERVICE (WHICH IS $0, AS THE SERVICE IS FREE).

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ImgTweak and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Any content you process through the Service

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, branding, and functionality, is owned by ImgTweak and protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service without our express written permission.

Open Source Components

ImgTweak uses open-source compression libraries compiled to WebAssembly, including:

• MozJPEG (JPEG compression)
• OxiPNG (PNG optimization)
• libwebp (WebP encoding)
• libavif (AVIF encoding)
• libjxl (JPEG XL encoding)

These libraries are governed by their respective open-source licenses, which are separate from these Terms.

Third-Party Services

We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics. Your use of the Service is also subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page.

Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. We recommend reviewing these Terms periodically.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms.

You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.
