Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of ImgTweak, a free browser-based image tool suite accessible at imgtweak.com. The service includes image compression, format conversion, resizing, cropping, watermarking, image adjustment, favicon generation, SVG conversion, logo vectorization, and PDF tools.

By accessing or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the service.

How the Service Works

All image processing on ImgTweak runs entirely inside your browser. Your files are never uploaded to any server. Processing is performed locally on your device using the following technologies:

• WebAssembly modules (MozJPEG, OxiPNG, libwebp, libavif, libjxl) for image compression and format conversion
• Web Workers for CPU-intensive tasks such as SVG tracing and vectorization, keeping your browser responsive during processing
• The imagetracerjs library (Unlicense / public domain) for raster-to-SVG tracing on the Logo and Icon to SVG tools
• pdf-lib and pdfjs-dist for PDF creation and extraction tools
• heic-to and utif2 for HEIC and TIFF decoding
• icojs for ICO file handling

Because processing is local, you can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and all tools continue to work. We have no technical ability to access, view, or store your images.

Use of Service

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use this service. By using the service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use ImgTweak for personal or commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

• Compress, convert, resize, crop, watermark, adjust and process image files
• Convert images to and from PDF
• Vectorize logos and icons to SVG format
• Generate favicons from images
• Download processed files for personal or commercial use

Restrictions

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the service
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the service excessively
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers connected to it
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the service
• Remove or modify any copyright or proprietary notices
• Use the service to process images that infringe third-party copyrights, trademarks, or privacy rights

Your Content and Privacy

Ownership of Your Images

You retain all rights, title, and interest in any images you process through ImgTweak. We do not claim any ownership over your content.

No Storage or Server Access

All processing occurs locally in your browser. Your images never leave your device and are never sent to our servers. We do not have access to, cannot view, and do not store any images you process. EXIF data, GPS coordinates, and image metadata are stripped during compression and conversion operations.

Responsibility for Content

You are solely responsible for the content of any images you process. You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the necessary rights to use the images
• Your images do not violate any third-party rights including copyright, trademark, or privacy rights
• Your images do not contain illegal, harmful, or offensive content

Third-Party Services and Analytics

ImgTweak uses Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics such as page views and tool usage frequency. No image content is included in this data. Your use of the service is also subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

The site displays Google AdSense advertisements. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.

We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party services.

Open Source Components

ImgTweak is built on open-source libraries. These libraries are governed by their respective licenses, which are separate from these Terms:

• OxiPNG (PNG optimization, MIT License)
• libwebp (WebP encoding, BSD License)
• libavif (AVIF encoding, BSD License)
• libjxl (JPEG XL encoding, BSD License)

• pdf-lib (PDF generation, MIT License)
• pdfjs-dist (PDF rendering, Apache 2.0 License)
• heic-to (HEIC decoding, MIT License)

Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied
• We disclaim all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
• We do not warrant that the service will meet your requirements or be error-free
• We do not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or results of image compression, conversion, vectorization, or PDF processing
• The raster-to-SVG (logo vectorizer) tools produce results that vary significantly based on source image complexity. They work best on flat-color logos and icons and are not suitable for photographic content
• You assume all risks associated with using the service, including potential data loss or corruption

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ImgTweak and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, arising from your use of the service.

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid to use the service, which is zero, as the service is free.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ImgTweak and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

Intellectual Property

The service, including its design, code, branding, and functionality, is owned by ImgTweak and protected by intellectual property laws. The open-source libraries used within the service remain subject to their respective licenses.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the service without our express written permission.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in a court of competent jurisdiction.
