Why convert PNG to PDF?

PNG is the format of choice for screenshots, diagrams, graphics, and anything with sharp edges and text. When you need to share those as a document, PDF is almost always the required format. Submission portals, email clients, and document management systems handle PDFs consistently across every device and operating system.

The other common reason is combining. You might have a set of screenshots documenting a process, or several diagram images from a presentation. Converting and merging them into a single PDF makes sharing, printing and filing straightforward.

Screenshots and diagrams

Screenshots in PNG format convert cleanly to PDF with no quality loss. Text remains sharp and readable at any zoom level.

Logos and design assets

PNG logos convert to PDF with transparent areas filled white, making them suitable for document cover pages and headers.

Scanned documents

Scanned pages saved as PNG convert to a multi-page PDF that is easier to share and archive than a folder of image files.

Portfolio and presentation materials

Slide-by-slide screenshots or portfolio images merge into a single PDF that opens on any device without requiring the original software.

Frequently asked questions

What happens to PNG transparency when converting to PDF?

Transparent areas in PNG images are filled with a white background when embedding in PDF. PDFs do not support transparency in the same way PNG does. The rest of the image converts pixel-perfectly. If your PNG has a transparent background, it will appear white in the output PDF, which is the correct behaviour for document sharing.

How do I convert multiple PNG files into one PDF?

Drop all your PNG files into the tool at once, or add them one at a time. Each PNG becomes one page. Drag the rows to set the order you want, then click Create PDF. All pages are merged into a single downloaded PDF file.

Will the PNG quality be reduced in the PDF?

No. PNG images are embedded directly into the PDF without re-encoding. The visual quality in the PDF is identical to the original PNG. This is different from some tools that re-compress the image during PDF creation.

Will there be a watermark on the PDF?

No. The output PDF has no watermarks or branding of any kind. All processing happens locally in your browser, so there is no service to add a watermark.

Is there a file size limit for PNG files?

No. There is no imposed limit. The practical limit is your device's available memory. Most devices handle large, high-resolution PNGs without any issue.

Can I choose the page size for the PDF?

Yes. You can choose Fit to image (the page is the same size as the PNG, with no white borders), A4, or US Letter. For A4 and Letter you can set portrait or landscape orientation and add a margin.

Are my PNG files uploaded to a server?

No. Everything happens locally in your browser. Your PNG files never leave your device. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the conversion still works.

Can I use this tool on mobile?

Yes. The tool works on iPhone and Android in any modern browser. Tap the upload area to select PNG images from your files app or photo library.
